Isn’t this fabric fun? It makes me think Mad Hatter (from Alice in Wonderland) or possibly gypsy punk. The exact colors woven into the brocade are: black, mauve, magenta, peacock blue, Tiffany blue, emerald green, silver-grey, and harvest gold. Please note, however, that if you are buying this to wear with something that you already have in one of those colors, it will not quite match. Since there are so many contrasting colors so close together, they blend – and the corset looks purpleish magenta to the eye, even though purple is technically not one of the colors in the brocade!
To pair this with a solid tone skirt, I recommend black.
This corset looks amazing when paired with a color-shift fabric – that is, a fabric that is two colors woven together for highlights and shadows in varying tones. When I design costumes with this corset, I pair it with iridescent (color-shift) taffeta fabric and coordinating trims.
