This adorable look is perfect for Victorian saloon girls, steampunk divas, pinup princesses, and more. It’s a bustle skirt, with gathers across the front, and side pleats adorned with large flirty bows. The skirt’s back is full enough to fit a full bustle petticoat underneath, and the hem is trimmed in ruffled black lace for just a bit of extra sass.
The size medium skirt was very slightly damaged when worn on a photoshoot. There are a few not-very-noticeable spots about the size of pinheads that are discolored, and places where the fabric faded from cobalt blue to royal blue in the sun. The price has been discounted by 50% to reflect this. Based on the assumption that the size large skirt is also sun-sensitive, I’ve discounted it by 10% despite it having no defects.
After I made these skirts, I discovered that this fabric is sun-sensitive, and fades a bit even after only a few hours – so I do not plan to offer it again. I recommend only wearing this indoors to counteract this!
There are so many ways to wear this skirt! Worn by itself, it’s this cute Victorian saloon girl look. Wear over a petticoat, and it’s more elegant – adorably lolita at knee to tea length, or very ladylike with a full length petticoat.
