Can you offer a payment plan?
Absolutely – I’ll be happy to split the payment for you. Split payments are available for any order above $200. Pay in installments by following these simple steps:
1: Reserve your item
On the final page of checkout, choose “Layaway/Payment Plan” as your payment method. This will reserve your item, with no payment required.
2: Contact me
Please send me the following information:
-Your Paypal email (if different from the one you checked out with)
-How many payments you would like to make
You can also add this to the “measurements” note when you check out.
3: Make your payments
I’ll send you an invoice via email. Your invoice will include a split payment fee:
2 payments, $5
3-5 payments, $8
If your item is in stock, I’ll ship just as soon as I receive your final payment. Made-to-Order items typically ship 2-4 weeks after final payment.
How much will it cost to ship my order?
To receive a shipping quote, please add the items you wish to order to your cart. Click “Calculate Shipping” and enter your address.
If you’re in the US, and your order will total $100 or more, I offer free shipping! However, if you have an event coming up, and you need to receive your order within a specific timeframe, I recommend choosing Priority Mail to be safe.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Usually I ship the next business day. Occasionally I’m swamped, and end up shipping the following day (within 2 business days). If you choose Priority or Express shipping when you check out, I will make sure it gets out the next business day.
Priority Mail Map
The above map shows delivery times for Priority Mail from my zip code, based on where you live in the US. In my experience Priority Mail is rarely late – but it can happen. Plan an extra day to be safe. 🙂
I live in Germany, what’s up with shipping?
Germany has a packaging law – LUCID or VerpackG – that requires everyone that ships to Germany from outside the country register with the government and prepay recycling costs for boxes and envelopes used in shipping. Every other country with a law like this (IE, France and other EU countries) has a de-minimis rule where very small sellers are exempt, since the cost to comply with the law is much higher than the actual cost to recycle a few ounces of packaging.
Germany, however, has no de-minimis, which means even very small sellers like me are legally required to register and prepay for recycling. The minimum required amount to prepay comes to about 100 packages per year! I receive only 2-4 orders per year from Germany, so if I were to comply with this law, and pass compliance costs onto my customers, shipping costs to Germany would be utterly outrageous!
If you live in Germany and want to purchase my items, I recommend using a package forwarding service. The package forwarding service will give you a US address so you can check out here with free shipping (for orders over $99), and then you’ll pay the package forwarding service separately to comply with Germany’s packaging laws and forward the package to you.
I’ve seen the following ones recommended:
https://www.bonvu.com/
https://shipito.com/
(If you’re in Germany and you use and recommend a different one, reach out to me and I’ll add it here!)
Finally, if you’re in Germany and you check out with an address provided from a package forwarding service, please leave me a note when you check out! If I find that I’m getting a lot of orders from Germany, I’m open to taking the time to register and pay the fees so that things are more convenient for my German customers. 🙂
