Give your inner diva a chance to come out and play with this adorable puff sleeved bolero shrug. I didn’t spare any tiny detail – sleeves are puffed and pleated at upper arm with a ribbon bow decoration, and the high neck ties in front with a matching ribbon bow. Every edge is lined in ruffled raschel lace for elegance and flair.
Choose your size and fabric and trim, and I’ll craft this just for you!
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a bit obsessed with bows in my designs! This is the perfect piece to complete any look that includes one of my skirts with bows adorning the hips. It’s unlined – perfect for those hot summer days – and designed to cover “problem areas” that can occur when wearing a corset (IE, side-boob) in an oh-so-cute way!

Technically waist measurement doesn’t matter for this piece since it stops just below the bustline, but I’ve included it for reference. Measure bust around the chest at largest point, waist at smallest point (optional), and upper arm around the biceps.
This bolero is made from a lightweight and flowy silky satin fabric. It’s a high-sheen fabric that looks best paired with a corset made from a similarly high-sheen fabric – satin, satin brocade, satin jacquard, or shiny faux leather will all look nice.
My supplier discontinued this fabric, so it’s only available while supplies last. It’s a bit unwieldy to store silky satin in my new home studio (the rolls it comes on need to be stored horizontally instead of vertically like all my other fabrics) so I’m hoping to sell out of it soon and streamline my fabric storage! Items made from this fabric will save $10 off the cost of your order.
The photo below shows all colors – including some that are sold out. I try to go through all the listings on my site and update the photos when colors sell out – but it’s much faster to update the options in the “Fabric Color” dropdown menu (which can be done in one central spot) – so that tends to happen first! If your color is still available, you’ll be able to choose it in the dropdown menu. If you see it in the photo, but can’t choose it in the menu, that means it sold out and I haven’t gotten a chance to update the photo yet!
I’m gradually replacing sold-out shades of Silky Satin with Bridal Satin – a medium weight densely woven shiny poly satin. I also have additional colors available in Taffeta fabric. Bridal Satin boleros and Taffeta boleros are coming soon! I’ll update this with links to the new listings once I get them posted.
I trim this piece with ruffled raschel lace – the ~.75″ style toward the top left of each photo below. The other widths are the styles I use for matching skirts and underskirts/bustles – so you can see how they look together.
The satin ribbon bows on your sleeves and the ties at the neck will match the color of the lace trim you choose – as shown in the top left corner of the photos.
About 99.99% of my orders are made with black lace trim, so typically that’s the color I have threaded on my sewing machine and serger! When I receive an order which requires switching out thread, I try to restock a few items for my Etsy shop at the same time.
If you’re ordering black lace trim, please plan 4 to 6 weeks plus shipping time to receive your bolero. If you’re ordering a different color trim, please plan 6 to 8 weeks plus shipping time to receive your bolero.
