I plan to create a new version of this piece that’s reversible – velvet on one side, and leather on the other!
About This Item
Ah, the cage petticoat… I’ve lusted after these for quite a while, lol! It was on my must-make list, but since steel boning is rather pricey, and all the seams on the hoops would take quite a while to sew, I knew that it was likely to be expensive, based on time and materials cost. I try to keep my pretty things as affordable as I can – so time consuming things get pushed to the back burner!
Then this little beauty appeared at one of my fashion-corset-wholesalers, and I ordered it in about 2 seconds flat! Plus one for myself, because, MUST HAVE!
It’s quite a high quality piece – the cage is made of faux leather, and the overskirt portion is made from a blouse-weight poly fabric (not lining fabric, like most petticoats). I’ve put it in my “underthings” category because it looks adorable underneath any skirt from my “Petticoat” line – but really, you could 100% wear this by itself!

This petticoat is made in China – so the sizes are one off from my skirt sizing! If you wear a Small in my skirts, you wear a Medium in this petticoat – and so on. So if you’re a repeat customer and you already know what size you wear in my items, for this petticoat, be sure to order a size up!
