Step into the spotlight in this dramatic Gothic Victorian saloon girl costume. It’s a bustle corset dress, with pleated drapes across the front, and oversized satin bows at each hip. The bodice is a real corset in shining satin with black lace all-over, with attached lace-trimmed swag sleeves to frame your shoulders.
This custom made gown includes the following items:
Then, there are options!
The photo below shows how the skirt in this dress looks when worn with different underthings. “Basic” is what you’ll get if you order the dress by itself – a two piece set of corset and bustle skirt. “Lacy” what you’ll get if you check the option to add a lace underskirt, which brings the look to a peekaboo full length. “Bustleicious” adds a bustle petticoat, for extra flair and a poofier back. Check both options to receive the “Deluxe” look!

If you need help determining your corset size, send me your measurements before you check out. I can recommend the best size.
The skirt and sleeves in this set are made-to-order. To create them in your size, I’ll need bust, waist, high hips, and low hips. If you select the option to add a lace underskirt or a bustle petticoat, I’ll also need a skirt length measurement.
The price in this listing is discounted (10% off each handmade item), as it’s a bit faster to make something I’ve made before, and requires less time spent communicating what I’m making for you. The full price you see in this listing is what you should expect for a custom gown based on this design, with different fabrics and/or trims.
If you like, I can make a fascinator or hat to match this dress for you. Several styles are possible, each of which matches nicely with the satin and lace. This style can be created in red and black, white and black, or ivory and black (the colors in which the roses I have match the fabric!)

The fascinator in my saloon girl photoshoot was made with discontinued lacey bits, and the curled red feathers can’t be purchased anymore, so I couldn’t make that exact style again, but I could create something similar:

Finally, it would be possible to create this fedora-style tilt hat to match your gown:

Here is the link to purchase “La Rose Cherie” – the roses-adorned fedora tilt hat. If you’re interested in one of the others, contact me and we can discuss.
Are there alternate fabrics available for this dress?
Once I get my made-to-order corsets online, absolutely! I have a vision in my head of a version of this dress with a corset adorned in figure-flattering angled lace panels that I am particularly excited about. ^.^ For now, however, it can only be made in the fabrics which match my available corsets.
Can you make this item with a different color trim (IE, without black)?
The lace overlay only comes in black, I’m afraid, but if we pair this look with a satin corset in white or ivory, and switch the trim to either white or ivory, it becomes possible to create this look with white or ivory trim.
I already have a corset. Can I order just the bustle skirt?
